Unlike many organizations, it does not fund rescue groups; instead, it provides direct financial grants to individual pet owners through its website. They focus on the most critical, life-threatening cases, stepping in when a beloved family member’s life hangs in the balance simply because the cost of treatment is out of reach.
Bow Wow Buddies Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to providing financial assistance for urgent medical care to sick and injured dogs through grants.
Unlike some organizations that focus only on individuals, it funds both private pet owners and rescue entities across North America. The foundation provides grants of up to $1,500–$2,500 for serious, life-altering conditions such as broken bones, emergency surgeries, cancer treatment, abdominal obstructions, amputations, and enucleation.
It does not cover spay/neuter procedures, dental work, preventative care, chronic disease management, ongoing treatments, or end-of-life care. Applications are reviewed twice monthly, on the 1st and 15th, and are not intended for immediate emergencies requiring same-day funding.

Frosted Funding helps families facing financial hardship keep their pets safe, healthy, and out of shelters by covering essential needs, with a focus on veterinary care for senior animals. It may also assist with food, supplies, training, grooming, pet deposits, fence repairs, and impound fees, typically contributing $250–$500 per case from a monthly budget of about $10,000, though it cannot take urgent emergencies. Donations in honor of a pet or person support the program and are recognized on the organization’s website and social media.
