OC Animal Care urgent list helps Adoption Partners identify animals at OC Animal Care that may have special medical or behavioral needs, which could reduce their chances of adoption. While OC Animal Care identifies special needs at intake whenever possible, new issues can arise or be noticed at any time—so an animal may appear on this list after impound. The list updates live to provide the most current information on special needs animals at OC Animal Care. Adoption Partners are encouraged to check these lists frequently.
If you are a 501(c)3 rescue organization and want to inquire about an animal on this list, click the Take Action button next to the animal’s entry to contact the Adoption Partner Coordinator.

🐕🦺Submit a Dog in Need of Rescue or At Risk of Euthanasia 🐾
At Hope Paws Support Fund, we believe every dog deserves a fighting chance—especially those at immediate risk of euthanasia or in urgent need of medical care.
We’ve just launched our new: “Request to Add a Dog in Need” Form
If you know of a dog in a shelter that is in danger of being euthanized, you can now submit their story directly to us.
Here’s how it works:
1️⃣ Fill out the form with the dog’s details.
2️⃣ Our team reviews and verifies each submission.
3️⃣ If approved, we’ll feature the dog on our “Dogs in Need” page to raise pledges and connect them with rescue partners.
