08/11/26 20:52 Anonymous RP reported 12 loose dogs from the address. Per RP, 4 of the dogs barked and charged at another adult female pedestrian. Extensive history at address.

8/14/26 – Nervous in kennel – whale eye, low posture, tense muscles – go slow

08/19/26 08:14 Now beginning to low growl when approached, tense, lip licking as soon as I approached kennel. Did not stop low growling until walking away. Very quiet growl.

8/20/26 Jumped up to view handler – sniffed hand and then froze (dilated eyes and direct eye contact). Presented a treat, which he sniffed and then returned to staring at handler. He would not loosen up even with the presentation of my lead, treats, or the idea of a kennel exit.

08/21/26 08:26 Sitting in kennel when approached. Saw slight tail wag as I spoke in high pitched voice and held treat, but began lip licking as soon as I held treat to bar. Prolonged eye contact accompanied with lip licking, whale eye. Dropped treats, ended interaction.

09/01/26 14:29 I have visited with this dog on several occasions. He will growls, but does sit up and show some interest. In the last week he seems to be declining as he will now jump up, alert bark and then run away urinating. He seems more stressed in the kennel than before.

BEHAVIOR SUMMARY

Webber, Peaches, Harley and Bronco were confiscated from the same residence, in which they have an extensive history of repeatedly escaping the property by breaking/opening windows and/or gates. Each time they have escaped, there have been multiple reported incidents with animal control involving the dogs chasing adults, children, and other dogs, with concerns from reporting parties regarding the dogs aggressive behavior while stray at large.

Since arriving at the shelter, all four dogs have presented as significantly unsocialized and unwilling to readily engage with handlers. Although each dog may vary in the intensity of behavior displayed in the shelter, their documented pattern of aggressive behaviors in the past makes them unsafe candidates for public adoption. We are recommending placement with rescue.

08/13/26 12:12 Laying in front of kennel while walking by. As I remained kennelside attempting to greet/coax forward, dog began to low growl, hard stare. Tossed a treat closer to him and took a step back to give space. Dog glanced at treat then resumed growling, baring teeth and snapping. Tossed additional treats, ended interaction. Will need decompression time.

08/14/26 08:27 Continues to present with distance increasing signals (low growl, hard stare, lip lifting when attempting to toss treats or interact). Caution.

08/14/26 11:54 Low growling and buries his head into the corner when approached.

08/19/26 14:58 Behavior unchanged, dog remains unwilling to engage and will attempt to create distance via growling, baring teeth, hard stare.

09/01/26 15:36 I have visited with this dog on several occasions. At first, he would not get up and just lay on the ground growling. He is getting up now, but just rises, alert barks and urinates while running to the outside of the kennel. His stress level seems very high.

Due to behavior while at large and behavior observed since intake, we are suggesting rescue placement for Bronco. While he was handleable during processing, he has since displayed aggressive body language towards staff even after appropriate decompression time was given. His history of chasing people at large shows a dog that will present himself in a forward manner when over-threshold for decision making capabilities.

08/19/26 08:40 Laying down in kennel when approached. As I attempted to coax forward by talking to in gentle voice and dropping treats, dog lowered head and avoided eye contact. Fearful. Tossed additional treats, ended interaction.

8/20/26 – Went to EVAL dog again. Dog was frozen in corner and would not make eye contact with handler. Was able to drop lead over dogs head and open kennel door. Dog walked out of kennel and out of the building. Once outside, she would walk a couple feet, freeze, then reposition herself towards handler with pinned ears, dilated eyes, and lip licking. She then began thrashing at the end of the leash and began pulling back towards the building. I tried to recover and attempt again but she had the same response. She pulled herself back to her kennel, spun quickly and presented a hard stare towards handler. Had to remove lead with assessor hand. While lead was being manipulated off, she froze and lifted leg, hackles raised and eyes dilated.

08/21/26 08:25 Dog remains laying down in kennel, avoidant of interaction despite multiple treats offered (hot dogs, freeze dried treats). Squeaked toy, dog lifted head momentarily then drooped back down, avoidant of eye contact. Dropped treats/toy, ended interaction.

09/01/26 16:08 I have visited Peaches on multiple occasions. She is always more withdrawn than all the other dogs from her group. She lays on the floor in kind of panic state and will not make eye contact. She turns her head away from you to avoid it. She kind of tucks herself in the corner. She seems to be more affected by dogs barking than the other dogs in this group. No improvement in behavior.
