Rescue is only the beginning of a dog’s journey. Once a dog leaves the shelter, they often need transportation, veterinary care, rehabilitation, training, and a safe place where they can heal and learn to trust again.
Every rescue story represents a second chance made possible by compassionate rescue organizations, foster families, volunteers, and generous supporters. We are honored to play a small part in helping these dogs begin their new lives.
ANGEL

Angel is a 4-year-old, 69-pound German Shepherd with a gentle heart and a love for people. He knows the “sit” command, enjoys treats—especially Pedigree meatballs—and thrives on human companionship. Friendly and eager for attention, Angel just wants to be close to the people he loves. Thanks to his rescue, he now has the chance to leave shelter life behind and start the new chapter he deserves. ❤️
NAMOR
Rescued by Paw of Dity Lodging on 07/27/2026
Namor is a 2-year-old Belgian Malinois who was found wandering the streets of Santa Ana with a leash still around his neck but no family looking for him. Intelligent, athletic, and deeply loyal by nature, Namor was overwhelmed by the shelter environment and responded with fear and defensive behavior. Like many frightened dogs, he needed patience, understanding, and experienced handling to feel safe again. Thanks to his rescue, Namor now has the opportunity to decompress, heal, and begin the journey toward the happy life he deserves. ❤️
RON
Ron is a smart, energetic, and affectionate dog who loves people, enjoys playing fetch, and knows several commands, including sit, down, and paw. He was friendly with staff and volunteers, gentle when taking treats, and even participated in dog playgroups. Ron’s biggest challenge was his high energy and excitement, which made him too much for some homes and led to multiple returns. With the right adopter who understands active dogs and can provide continued training, structure, and exercise, Ron has every chance to thrive. Thankfully, Ron has now been rescued and is on his way to a brighter future. ❤️
WANDA

Wanda is a young, energetic, and affectionate dog who loves people and is always excited to be around them. She has a playful puppy personality and is full of energy, but she struggled with handling and confinement in her previous home, leading to behavior challenges that required an experienced adopter. In the shelter, Wanda remained friendly and social despite the stress of the environment. Thanks to her rescue, she now has the opportunity to receive the structure, training, and patience she needs to grow into the wonderful companion she can be. ❤️
SILVER

Silver is a friendly, affectionate, and energetic dog who loves being around people. He knows several commands, including sit, shake, and down, enjoys giving kisses, and was a favorite among many volunteers. Like many active dogs, Silver could become overstimulated in the stressful shelter environment, but he also showed great progress with training and enrichment. Thanks to his rescue, Silver now has the opportunity to continue learning, build confidence, and enjoy the active, loving life he deserves. ❤️
