Emergency Veterinary Care Fund – Save a Dog in Crisis
Every day, dogs face life-threatening emergencies. A sudden injury. A life-threatening illness. A surgery that costs more than a family or rescue can pay.
Without help, these dogs suffer – or worse, are surrendered to overcrowded shelters. Families are forced to choose between their beloved pet and their financial stability. Rescues are forced to say no because they cannot afford the medical bills.
Hope Paws Support Fund steps in. We provide direct financial assistance to veterinary clinics so families never have to choose between their dog’s life and their savings – and so rescues can say yes to the dogs who need them most.
Your donation saves lives.
Who We Help
Pet owners
Families who cannot afford emergency vet care for their dogs
Rescue organizations
501(c)(3) rescues with dogs in need of urgent medical treatment
We pay veterinary clinics directly whenever possible. No money goes to families or rescues – every dollar goes to care. In some cases, when we cannot pay the clinic directly, we are flexible and can reimburse the family or rescue after the fact.
The Problem
Emergency veterinary care is expensive. Surgeries can cost $1,500 or more. Critical care hospitalization can run $500 per day. Diagnostic imaging and medications add even more.
For families living paycheck to paycheck, these costs are impossible. For rescues operating on thin margins, one big medical bill can be devastating.
Too many dogs are euthanized or surrendered simply because their families or rescues cannot afford care.
We are here to change that.
