From Deadline to Freedom – Rescue Stories
Rescue is only the beginning of a dog’s journey. Once a dog leaves the shelter, they often need transportation, veterinary care, rehabilitation, training, and a safe place where they can heal and learn to trust again.
Every rescue story represents a second chance made possible by compassionate rescue organizations, foster families, volunteers, and generous supporters. We are honored to play a small part in helping these dogs begin their new lives.
Blue
Rescued by Lionel’s Legacy Senior Dog Rescue on 07/19/2026
Blue was rescued by Lionel’s Legacy, but sadly her aggressive cancer progressed incredibly fast. 💔 She could no longer eat or breathe comfortably, so she was peacefully euthanized at home, surrounded by care.
She was remembered as the sweetest girl who gave kisses despite her pain. Run free, Blue. 💙🌈🐾
Chico
Rescued by California paws rescue on 08/03/2026
This 5-year-old, 44-lb Bull Terrier was rescued from OC Animal Care. Despite severe eye issues and fear during medical care, Chico showed a sweet, affectionate side and loved treats, back scratches, and being by people’s side. We’re so happy he got his chance! 🙏🐶
Perry

This beautiful 2-year-old brindle Pit Bull was struggling with fear and stress at the shelter, but he showed a sweet side with patience, familiar handlers, treats, and gentle attention. So happy Perry is safe and has a chance to decompress and thrive! 🙏🐶

Katana was ADOPTED on 08/10/2026! 🩷🐾 After struggling with severe shelter stress, this sweet 6-year-old Dutch Shepherd mix finally found her forever home. She loves people, car rides, stuffed toys, and walks. So happy she got the second chance she deserved! 🙏🐶🏡
